Mega888 Deposit & Withdrawal — Every Bank & E-Wallet Guide 2026

Every Malaysian bank and major e-wallet, with real processing times, transaction limits, and tricks for faster payouts. Tested May 2026.

FPX vs DuitNow — what's the difference?

FPX (Financial Process Exchange) is Malaysia's standard fund transfer system. Payments complete in 1-3 minutes, with a small fee (RM0-1) charged by your bank. DuitNow is the newer option — instant transfer (under 30 seconds), most banks charge nothing. As of 2026, we recommend DuitNow if your bank supports it. Both are secure and certified by PayNet.

Maybank — most popular, fastest

Deposit: use FPX or DuitNow. Completes in <2 minutes on business days, may take up to 5 minutes on weekends. Withdrawal: to Maybank averages 4-6 minutes (fastest of all banks). Transaction limits: minimum RM30, maximum RM50,000 per transaction. Tip: withdrawals before 8 PM are processed same-day, after 8 PM are processed next morning.

CIMB — usually second fastest

Deposit: FPX or DuitNow, completes in 2-4 minutes. Withdrawal: 5-8 minutes to a CIMB account. Limits: minimum RM30, maximum RM30,000. Note: CIMB Clicks sometimes has downtime after midnight — if it fails, retry after 5 minutes. Tip: if you have a CIMB Octo Account (digital account), transfers are instant (under 30 seconds).

Public Bank, RHB, Hong Leong — similar timing

Public Bank: deposit 3-5 minutes, withdrawal 6-10 minutes. No fee for DuitNow. RHB: deposit 3-5 minutes, withdrawal 7-12 minutes. The RHB Now app needs to be updated to the latest version for DuitNow. Hong Leong: deposit 2-4 minutes, withdrawal 5-8 minutes. HLB Connect Mobile supports instant DuitNow. All three banks have RM30-30,000 limits.

E-wallets: TNG, Boost, GrabPay, ShopeePay

Touch 'n Go eWallet: instant deposit (under 10 seconds), withdrawal 5-7 minutes. Limit RM10-10,000. Most popular because most Malaysians already have it. Boost: instant deposit, withdrawal 5-10 minutes. Limit RM10-5,000. Gives 1-2% cashback on deposits using periodic Boost promotions. GrabPay: instant deposit, withdrawal 8-15 minutes (slowest of e-wallets). Limit RM10-3,000. ShopeePay: instant deposit, withdrawal 6-10 minutes. Limit RM10-3,000. Tip: TNG and Boost are best for small-fast transactions.
